Oreo Cheesecake Squares

This recipe comes from an 11 year old friend of mine, Courtney. She was visiting Rita, her grandmother. Rita is my co-host on my other program, Rendezvous. Courtney co-hosted with us while she visited. One day she made these fabulous squares for us and I asked if I could share her recipe with you. She was pleased to share it. It is very simple and tastes delicious. Enjoy!

Base:
1 1/2 cups Oreo crumbs
1/2 cup melted butter
Mix both ingredients and press into the bottom of and 8x8 pan saving about 1 Tbs. of crumb mixture for topping.
Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Cool.

1 package of Dream Whip (prepare according to package directions)
1 pkg. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
Mix sugar and cream cheese. Fold in prepared Dream Whip. Pour onto cooled base and smooth out. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top. Refrigerate until set.
